Abstract
A novel Annonaceous acetogenin, donnaienin (1), was isolated from the roots of Goniothalamus donnaiensis. Its structure and stereochemistry were elucidated on the basis of spectral data and chemical evidence. This compound represents an unusual type of Annonaceous acetogenin, bearing a hydroxylated tetrahydrofuran ring. Keywords
