Abstract
A single-cavity novel dual mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter with non-resonating node (NRN) is presented. The NRN is implemented by etching a coplanar waveguide on the top metal layer of SIW cavity. Under such circumstances, the filter occupies similar area in comparison with conventional two-pole SIW counterparts, but exhibits better frequency selectivity. The measured S-parameters of the realized filter agree well with the simulated ones, with its good performance predicted. Keywords
