Abstract
Background. Morphine alleviates prolonged pain, reduces behavioral and hormonal stress responses induced by surgery among term neonates, and improves ventilator synchrony and sedation among ventilated preterm neonates, but its analgesic effects on the acute pain caused by invasive procedures remain unclear.Keywords
