Gymnodinium Brevis Sp. Nov., A Cause of Discolored Water and Animal Mortality in the Gulf of Mexico

Abstract

G brevis n. sp. is descr. The sp. occurred in numbers up to 60,000,000 per liter on the lower west coast of Florida in the winter and spring of 1947, coloring the water yellow-green and causing the death of masses of fish and other animals.
