Abstract
According to network selection requirements for heterogeneous wireless networks, combining with the advantages and disadvantages of fuzzy logic algorithm, and using information fusion technology,a triangle module operator and fuzzy logic based handoff algorithm for heterogeneous wireless networks is designed in this paper. The proposed algorithm fused the result of the traditional signal strength based algorithm with the quality of service (QoS) parameters based algorithm to achieve the network handoff selection. The simulation results showed that the method overcame the shortcomings of traditional methods, which can not only make a more reasonable choice of network, but also ensure the QoSof the network and effectively reduce the switching frequency and the ping-pong effect.Keywords
