Diastereoisomeric 4a,10a-dihydrofusarubins: True metabolites of Fusarium solani

Abstract
In alkaline cultures of Ftisarinm solani fusarubin is formed by nonenzymic oxidation of two previously unknown dihydrofusarubins, rel-(3R,4aR,10aR)- and rel-(3R,4aR, 10aS)-5,10-dioxo-3,4,4a,5,10,10a-hexahydro-7-methoxy-3-methyl-3,6,9-trihydroxy-1H-naphtho[2,3-c]pyran.
