Abstract
From 1970 to 1980, cervical hip fractures in Finland increased by 55 per cent and trochanteric fractures by 46 per cent. The demographic pattern and increasing fracture risks in the elderly will cause twice as many hip fractures in 1990 as in 1970.Keywords
