Abstract
In this paper we present reasons why ZigBee is not considered suitable for use in most industrial applications, which was also motivation for the development of a new wireless communication standard tailored to the industrial needs: WirelessHART. We also give a short presentation of the design features that makes WirelessHART more suitable for industrial applications and requirements.Keywords
