Spontaneous Massive Haemorrhage into Acoustic Neuroma During Anticoagulation Therapy

Abstract
We report the case of a 58-year old man who bled into an undiagnosed acoustic neuroma while on long-term anticoagulation therapy which was commenced following aortic valve replacement. The patient presented with multiple cranial nerve paralysis of sudden onset. The tumour was subtotally removed but he died 5 days postoperatively from recurrent haemorrhage into the tumour bed.
