Spontaneous Passage of Artificial Concretions Applied in the Rabbit Ureter

Abstract
Pieces of ureteral catheters were applied as artificial concretions in the rabbit ureter for experimental study of factors affecting the spontaneous passage of ureteral concretions. The size of the concretion was found definitely to be correlated to its transit time. Urinary stasis appeared to be a very important factor in the passage of the concretion. The role of autonomous ureteral peristalsis was found to be small in comparison.
