Abstract
A circularly polarised one-dimensional electromagnetic bandgap resonator antenna is demonstrated. Circular polarisation is generated by a sequentially rotated array of linearly polarised stripline slot antennas located in the ground plane of the device. The resonator antenna has the advantages of high gain, simple design and construction, very low sidelobes, good radiation pattern symmetry, and fairly constant boresight axial ratio across the operating bandwidth. Measured and computed results confirm the performance of the antenna. Keywords
