Abstract
The intrinsic magnetic properties of VSe2 in the incommensurate and commensurate charge denity wave states have been examined by magnetic susceptibility and NMR observations. VSe2 synthesized at high temperatures is slightly metal‐rich and since the excess vanadium atoms are magnetic, their contribution to the magnetic properties must be extracted from those intrinsic to VSe2. This separation has been accomplished by studying a series of materials of the form V1+δSe2 (0.01<δ2 and the excess vanadium species. Keywords
