Metabolites of bird's nest fungi. Part 8. Some minor metabolites of Cyathus helenae and some correlations among the cyathins

Abstract

The isolation and structure determination of neoallocyathin A₄ (10a) is described. Structures are proposed for cyathin A₄ (11) and cyathin C₅ (15). Methods for the transformation of cyathin A₃ into cyathin B₃, allocyathin B₃, and cyathin C₃ are reported. The isolation of glochidone (22) and ergosterol from the mycelium of Cyathushelenae is reported.
