Les conditions climatiques du tourisme littoral

Abstract

SUMMARY In order to study the climatic conditions of summer tourism in the coastal areas of temperate latitudes, we suggest to adopt the « comprehensive climatology » method. Its principles have been worked out by the Russian authors. Thus, the decades the months of the summer season are expressed in numbers of days w ilh fine, pleasant weather, which are defined according to bioclimalic levels delimiting thermic and hydric comfort... The knowledge of the frequency of these types of weather enables us to grasp the « atmospheric quality » over a region and to estimate the climat in which man lives. A practical application of the method stresses its value to analyse the data of regional touristic planning.
