Abstract
Cataloged from PDF version of article.Transmission through split ring resonator SRR structures loaded with capacitors is investigated\ud both experimentally and numerically. Magnetic resonance frequency m is observed to shift to\ud lower frequencies when capacitors are mounted to the various capacitive regions of the SRR\ud structure. The amount of change in m depends strongly on the place where the capacitors are\ud loaded. The magnetic resonance is obtained at 0.99 GHz with subwavelength SRR size of / 42\ud when the capacitor C= 2.2 pF is integrated at the split region of the outer ring. © 2007 American\ud Institute of Physic
