Abstract
We present a systematic study of self-consistent symmetries (SCS) for the ten-electron atom in an basis. The investigation of each SCS required a detailed study of the character of the iterative process. Convergency is ensured by a minimum-energy selection principle. Six deformed Hartree-Fock solutions for have been obtained.
