Abstract
BLUNT MULTISYSTEM trauma is a significant risk factor for venous thromboembolism (VTE), and patients with intracranial hemorrhagic injuries (IHIs) are at particularly high risk.1 Venous thromboembolism rates as high as 17%2-6 are reported despite the use of conventional methods of prophylaxis. Keywords
