Abstract
The longitudinal momentum distributions of the core fragment in the dissociation of halo states on light targets provide information pertaining to the external part of the halo. The calculations agree well with the measured momentum widths and cross sections for the reactions BeBe) and B, Be). The measured widths are not expected to be sensitive to the instrumental transverse-momentum acceptance.
