Radio-frequency-induced current and transport in toroidal plasmas

Abstract
The theory of current generation and transport in toroidal geometry as a result of the absorption of high‐frequency waves is developed. The radial particle and heat fluxes as well as the parallel current are given in terms of velocity moments of the rf‐induced velocity space particle flux. The radial flux can be separated into classical and neoclassical parts. It is suggested that the absorption of rf can be used to control impurity transport.
