Abstract
To reduce the rate of unintended pregnancies, patients should select a contraceptive option that fits their needs and lifestyle. Long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) are a relatively safe and effective option. This article outlines the characteristics of available LARCs and identifies the appropriate method for specific patient populations.Keywords
