Abstract
A fluidized bed fermentor is used for anaerobic digestion. The influence of Hydraulic Retention Time, inlet concentration and degree of colonization is investigated. The degradation kinetics seems to depend on the ratio between outlet and inlet concentration. Different kinetic regimes are identified, showing that mass transfer in the biofilms may play an important role on the degradation kinetics. Keywords
