Abstract
THE late Clovis Vincent and his co-workers in 19301 and again in 19362 called attention to the dangers inherent in the herniation of a part of one temporal lobe through the incisura of the tentorium cerebelli. Since then LeBeau,3 LeBeau and Houdart,4 Guiot and Janny,5 Jefferson,6 Zwan,7 Schwarz and Rosner,8 Evans and Scheinker,9 Scheinker,10 Freedman11 and Reid and Cone12 have written on this matter.
