Single phase five level Transistor Clamped inverter with multi-band hysteresis current control

Abstract
Multi-band hysteresis current control of five level Transistor Clamped H-bridge (TCHB) inverter using symmetric multiband hysteresis current control (MB HCC) is presented in this paper. The five level TCHB inverter with MB HCC technique has been studied and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment and five level output voltage is obtained with excellent tracking of reference current by load current. Experimental setup of the same has been developed in the lab using SEMIKRON inverter stack with one external bidirectional switch as the clamping switch. DSP F28335 Experimental kit is used to obtain the hysteresis current control signals for the inverter switches. Experimental results thus obtained with R-L load is presented and discussed in detailed to validate the scheme.
