Abstract

Acquisition of a conditioned leg flexion by cats immobilized by bulbocapnine and in some instances by additional de-efferentation was demonstrated. "The experiments were unequivocal in demonstrating that conditioning may occur even though overt responses are entirely absent during training." Shortcomings of previous studies are discussed.
