Lead and Cadmium in Precipitation: Their Contribution to Pollution

Abstract
Atmospheric precipitation samples have been collected at six sites in the London (U.K.) area and at one rural site. Levels of lead and cadmium have been determined and are readily related to local sources of air pollution. A quantitative assessment is made of the metallic pollution resulting from removal of metals from the atmosphere In precipitation and it is compared to the contribution of other pollution pathways.
