Abstract
The authors have fabricated a diffusion-bonded monolithic stack of GaAs plates for quaa-phase-matched second-harmonic generation of a 10.6 μm CO2 laser. This synthetic nonlinear crystal retains the thermomechanical properties of the bulk material, and has provided phase coherent nonlinear interaction over ∼0.4cm.Keywords
