Abstract
A series of 1,4-diphenyl-2,5-dioxopiperazine derivatives were synthesised in one pot sequence. The compounds demonstrated appreciable cytotoxic activity against Leishmania donovani on both forms of the parasite, and the results suggested that some derivatives (4, 11 and 12) could be exploited as antileishmanial agents. Keywords
