Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the performance of a full-bridge three element LCC resonant power converter with a capacitive output filter. The study focuses on the operation under pulsewidth modulation with variable operation frequency. The operation modes of the LCC power converter are evaluated and their boundaries are given by means of normalised diagrams. Furthermore, optimal operation modes with reduced switching losses are evaluated. The advantages of an RPI-configuration for improved inverter efficiency is carried out. Apart from analytical investigations, experimental results are also presented. Keywords
