Reamer-Irrigator-Aspirator as a Bone Graft Harvester

Abstract
This article introduces a new device that harvest intramedullary bone for transplantation. The history, indications, technique, and potential complications are reviewed. Some of the early "work" generated from the use of this device is reviewed, but much more is needed. Detailed clinical and scientific studies are absent at this time, and further validation of this technique awaits these studies. A review of the most current data on the reamer-irrigator-aspirator as bone graft harvester is included in this article.
