Continuum processes involving atomic systems with configurations 1s2...2pq

Abstract
The close-coupling approximation has been used to compute cross sections for a wide range of processes (electron impact, photodetachment and photoionization) involving atomic systems with incomplete outer 3p subshells. The processes have been chosen for their astrophysical interest. The purpose of the investigation is to provide a unified theoretical model for the wide variety of processes investigated and to compare the predictions of this close-coupling approach with previous theoretical approximations and experiment.
