Abstract
We live in a time of crisis. Global financial insecurity in recent years has inevitably had its impact on healthcare spending worldwide, irrespectively of political systems or economic levels. At a time when healthcare costs are constantly rising, this raises serious concerns about the effects of budgetary restrictions on everyday clinical practice. It is vital that the medical community take the necessary measures to preserve the principle of equitable and immediate access to appropriate healthcare for those in need. 1Keywords
