Abstract
Cerium(III) nitrate hexahydrate efficiently catalyzes the three-component Biginelli reaction under solvent-free conditions of an aldehyde, a β-keto ester or β- diketone and urea or thiourea to afford the corresponding 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)- ones or –thiones in excellent yields. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
