Abstract
Chasman-Green (CG), triple-bend achromat (TBA), and quadruple-bend achromat (QBA) lattices have been designed, and the dynamic characteristics of these three lattices have been studied for the lattice selection of the 8-GeV low-emittance synchrotron radiation source. The results show that each lattice has both merits and demerits. The absolute superiority or inferiority of any of the lattice was not demonstrated so far as the dynamic characteristics were concerned. These results suggest that the CG lattice, which has the simplest magnet arrangement, is suited for the 8-GeV synchrotron radiation source.<>Keywords
