Abstract
The interference of NO2, SO2, NO and CO with ozone measurements based on the KI method has been studied using bubblers. NO and CO are found to produce no errors. NO2 leads to an overestimation of the ozone content, the enhancement of the reading being proportional to the NO2 concentration and dependant on the design of the bubbler. SO2 causes the ozone registration to be too low or even zero. Interference by this gas is very serious, since the decrease in the reading is approximately equal to the SO2 concentration. Theoretical interpretations for the effects of both gases on the KI method are given. Keywords
