Abstract
Two new aromatic compounds, erinacerins A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Hericium erinaceum (BULL.: FR.) PERS. (Hericiaceae) together with a known compound, hericenone A (3). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of their spectral data. It was found that 1 occurred as a racemate. Keywords
