Is an efficient phosphor for plasma display panels. However, it is not usable for TV applications because of its too long decay around 30 ms. In this study, we have investigated the decrease of the decay time of phosphors synthesized by solid‐state reaction. Photoluminescence decay values as low as 3 to 6 ms have been obtained while keeping high luminance. Other results regarding these phosphors are presented and discussed.
