Abstract
A series of careful investigations to develop the relation between these two methods of testing building stones cannot fail to be of interest. Both methods have been used for many years for estimating the probable resistance of stone to weathering. The effects of frost have been obtained in various ways, but it is only recently that the establishment of cold storage rooms, where there is plenty of space and where almost any desired temperature can be maintained, has made it possible to carry on these tests conveniently and accurately.
