Abstract
Residents' and entrepreneurs' attitudes were studied in Deadwood, South Dakota, with respect to the impact of tourism on the economy, social structure, employment opportunities, lifestyle, and environment of the community. The value of tourism is recognized, and the impact of re-introduction of gambling is acknowledged by both groups.Keywords
