Abstract:
Research in the field of physics education, only focuses on verbal communication such as the ability to ask questions. While communication skills are not only limited to the ability to ask questions. But there is an equally important symbolic communication. The indicators of symbolic communication in question: state the ideas of physics in the form of pictures, interpreting images into physical models, explain physical phenomena into problem solving procedures. The population in this study were all students majoring in Physics Education in the fifth semester of class 2019 and third semester of 2020, and the sample consisted of 38 students. The symbolic communication abilities of prospective physics teacher students at Samudra University are as follows: The indicator states physics ideas in the form of pictures, 24 people or 63.16% of students can state physics ideas in the form of pictures correctly and completely, The indicator interprets the picture into the physics model, only 1 person or 2.63% of students can connect the picture into the physics model correctly and completely, Indicators explain physical phenomena into problem solving procedures, there are 17 people or 44.74% of students who can explain solving procedures correctly and completely

Abstract:
Process skills are essential skills that must be possessed in the chemistry learning process. It is because science process skills are needed in conducting scientific investigations. This study aimed to develop a chemistry subject module based on local wisdom and its effectiveness in improving students' science process skills. The research subjects were 30 eleventh grade senior high school students. This development research used the Borg and Gall model (2003), which adapts the Dick and Carey model, named Instructional System Design which includes ten stages of development. The product of this research and development is a chemistry subject module for the subject of colloid systems. Furthermore, the developed module received a validation test using a questionnaire given to experts and users to determine its feasibility in learning. The results of feasibility validation by learning media experts obtained a percentage of 100%, by chemists on the chemical material presented in the module content of 91%, by chemistry learning experts with a percentage of 82.50%, by 10 students with a percentage of 91.43%. Thus, the module developed is very feasible to be used in learning. After getting validation, the science process skills test results were analyzed on the initial and final tests using the Normalized Gain (N-gain) technique to determine its effectiveness in improving students' science process skills. Data analysis was obtained through one group pre-test and post-test design. Then, the results of the N-gain analysis of 0.74 are categorized as "High." It means that there is an increase in students' science process skills after applying the module. Thus, it can be concluded that the chemistry subject module is suitable for use in learning and affects the effectiveness of learning because it can effectively improve students' science process skills

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to develop learning media for wave ripple tanks with the implementation of guided inquiry models on the conceptualization and creativity of students in physics subjects in class XI with the material of mechanical wave characteristics. The wave ripple tank learning media is used as a tool in the learning process that can improve students' mastery of concepts and creativity. This study uses the Research and Development method with a 4D design (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). At the defining stage, the initial analysis was carried out, namely examining the background behind the emergence of researchers' ideas. The design stage is carried out by designing the wave ripple tank learning media with the implementation of guided inquiry models. The development stage is a development activity as well as an assessment of the experts which includes the validation test of the development results of the device, media ripple tank learning, and assessment instruments. The last stage is the dissemination stage, where the results of this study are distributed to schools to be used as a model that can be used

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to determine the impact of the Picture and Picture application integrated with Guided Note Taking (GNT) on students' biology learning achievement by optimizing teaching aids. The study is categorized as a quasi-experiment. The research design used is Post-test Only Control Group Design with group experiment, which implements Picture and Picture application coupled with Guided Note Taking (GNT) through the optimization of the use of teaching aids, and control group, which implements discussion technique, speech, and presentation. The population of the research is students of class XI IPA (grade 11 in Natural Science) from Public Senior High School (SMA N) 2 Boyolali. The sample in the research is students of class XI IPA 4 as the experiment group and students of class XI IPA 3 as the control group. Cluster random sampling was used to collect the sample. Multiple-choice tests, questionnaires, observation forms, and documentation are used to collect data. The t-test was used to test the hypothesis. This study concludes that Picture and Picture application integrated with Guided Note Taking (GNT) through the optimization of teaching aids utilization affects students' biology learning achievement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Abstract:
Sikap ilmiah merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki setiap individu siswa khususnya pada proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui profil sikap ilmiah siswa dengan menggunakan buku ajar elektronik IPA berbasis kearifan lokal pembuatan garam Madura. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Pademawu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Pademawu. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan tekhnik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi sikap ilmiah siswa dengan tediri dari 3 aspek, 9 indikator dan 10 pernyataan serta menggunakan tekhnik wawancara untuk menambah informasi tentang pembelajaran IPA. hasil penelitian termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Oleh karena itu hasil tersebut masih perlu ditingkatkan agar menjadi sangat baik dengan menggunakan model, metode, strategi dan buku ajar yang mampu meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa, salah satu buku ajar yang bisa digunakan yaitu buku ajar elektronik berbasis kearfian lokal.

Abstract:
Proses pembelajaran tematik terpadu di sekolah dasar cenderung konvensional dan menggunakan sumber belajar terbatas seperti buku paket saja tanpa disertai dengan media pembelajaran, sehingga siswa dominan bosan dan malas untuk belajar. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan produk komik digital sebagai alternativ media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang mampu meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dipilih merupakan penelitian R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket atau kuisioner, tes, dan dokumentasi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest berupa soal evaluasi pilihan ganda yang berisi domain literasi sains dengan jumlah 18 soal untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, masing – masing 12 soal untuk mata pelajaran Matematika dan SBDP. Validasi komik melibatkan lima orang validator, masing-masing dari ahli materi, desain media, dan konstruk. Hasil validitas komik memperoleh rata – rata skor 89 (B) untuk media, rata – rata skor 89 (B) untuk materi, dan rata-rata konstruk adalah 92 (SB). Literasi sains siswa diperoleh nilai rata - rata Bahasa Indonesia 86,30 (B) dengan persentase ketuntansan 89%. Matematika 85,00 (B) dengan persentase ketuntasan 89%. Rata – rata nilai SBDP adalah 92,10 (SB) dengan persentase ketuntasan 100%. Dengan demikian pengembangan komik digital berorientasi PBL untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract:
Sikap terhadap sains adalah sikap yang muncul pada diri peserta didik sebelum dan setelah belajar sains. Semakin tinggi sikap peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran sains, maka akan semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar mereka. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah sikap peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran sains, maka akan semakin rendah pula hasil belajar mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana sikap peserta didik terhadap sains. Metode penelitian ini berupa penelitian survey dengan menggunakan instrumen Test of Science Releted Attitude (TOSRA) dengan skala Likert 5 point pada . 161 peserta didik sebagai sampel penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif statistik. Hasil penelitian pada 5 indikator sikap peserta didik terhadap sains diperoleh tanggapan tertinggi;1) kesenangan belajar sains terdapat pada kriteria setuju (39,40%) dan berada pada ketegori positif (47,2%); 2) ketertarikan meluangkan waktu belajar sains terdapat pada kriteria setuju (37,29%) dan berada pada ketegori sikap positif (54,7%); 3) ketertarikan berkarir dibidang sains terdapat pada kriteria setuju (34,43%) dan berada kategori sikap positif (50,3%); 4) sikap penyelidikan sains diperoleh dengan kriteria setuju (29,71%) dan berada pada ketegori sikap positif (77%); serta 5) Implikasi sosial sains diperoleh pada kriteria setuju (37,04%) dan berada pada ketegori sikap positif (72%). Secara keseluruhan sikap peserta didik terhadap sains dengan tanggapan tertinggi terdapat pada kriteria setuju (35,56%) dengan kategori sikap positif (75,8%) di SMP dan MTsN Kabupaten Aceh Jaya.

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the profile of students' critical thinking skills and the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models based on digital books on physics learning in high school. This research method is a preliminary study with data collection techniques in the form of written tests whose data results will be analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The study was conducted on 176 students consisting of 77 male students and 99 female students. in 5 classes X MIPA at one of the State High Schools in Sidoarjo Regency. It was concluded that: 1) The lowest criteria for critical thinking skills of students were found in the analysis indicator with an average score of 0.989 in female students and 0.636 in male students. 2) Students' critical thinking skills belong to the low category, the score range of 0-45 as many as 99 female students and 77 male students and no students who belong to the medium and high categories. In this study, the application of digital book-assisted PBL is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. So, it was concluded that if the critical thinking skills that students have are low, then it is necessary to improve students' critical thinking skills, namely with the implementation of digital book-assisted PBL models

Abstract:
Bengkulu city is facing groundwater problems where some of the groundwater is brackish. The study aimed to determine the structure of the subsurface layer through the propagation velocity of secondary wave (Vs) in a layer of porous medium in estimating the potential for groundwater. This research supported by resistivity data ​​and will be validated based on the depth of the well. MASW data was processed using WinMASW Professional 5.0 software to obtain a 1D profile of the Vs value, and Res2dinv software was used to obtain a 2D cross-section of the resistivity value. The results showed a decrease in the value of Vs in the porous medium layer from 133 to 358 m/s in the first path, and from 149 to 314 m/s for the second path. The decrease in the value of Vs is in the range of groundwater potential which is close to the depth of the resident's well, with the type of porous medium layer being sands and intact clays. The subsurface profile from the Vs measurement shows a good agreement with the resistivity value profile from the Geoelectric method. So, secondary wave propagation can be used in determining groundwater potential for a depth of < 10 m

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of quantum physics learning tools using blended learning models to improve the critical thinking and generic science skills of students. The learning device was developed using a 4-D model which includes the stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination. Learning devices that have been declared valid then conducted a limited-scale trial in the Physics education undergraduate program at the University of Mataram, which consisted of thirty students. Analysis of increasing critical thinking and science generic skills using the n-gain (g) test. The results of the n-gain analysis for all aspects indicate that the student's critical thinking and generic science skills are in the medium and high categories. These results indicate that the use of quantum physics learning using a blended learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking and generic science skills
