Understanding the lattice nitrogen stability and deactivation pathways of cubic CrN nanoparticles in the electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction

Abstract
CrN nanoparticles with a cubic rocksalt structure are investigated for the lattice stability during the electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction. Lattice collapse and ammonia poisoning are proposed as the two possible deactivation pathways.
