From Mesenchymal Stromal Stem Cells To Insulin-Producing Cells: Challenges In Translation For A Clinical Application

Abstract
Cell transplantation for the control of diabetes may be carried out within a scaffold or an encapsulation device. The use of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs) as a source for Insulin-Producing Cells (IIPCs) provides a chance for an autologous application.
