Lectura para la acción: revisando “Entornos habitables”

Abstract
The book Entornos habitables is a diagnostic tool on the safety of people in urban environments from a gender perspective. The authors, from Col. lectiu Punt 6, start from the fact that the perception of security in space is different for men and women, and that an inclusive city free of discrimination needs interventions that allow the freedom of movement of all citizens. In this volume, the social, physical or functional aspects that condition this different perception of security are analyzed from an intersectional gender perspective; activities of a participatory nature are proposed to carry out the recognition of the environment, focusing on giving voice to the people who live daily in it, and suggested intervention proposals, gathered in six strategic lines that cover the scale of the housing, the building and the environment close to it. The volume is a practical proposal, which can be useful both to neighborhood associations, administrative or urban management bodies.
