Abstract
The article by Gutmann et al.(1) provided an excellent overview of factors in transitioning allopathic medical students into clinical neurology careers. The authors addressed a major issue in neurology as the burden of neurologic disease increases across the world. Subjective assessment of preclinical and clinical neuroscience positive experiences and effective teaching by residents and faculty were unsurprising in their associations with increased rates of retention. However, these findings have been reported in many other medical specialties.(2-4)This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
