The influence of professional training disciplines on the physical fitness level of the folk dance department students

Abstract: Background and Study Aim. To determine the influence of professional training disciplines on the physical fitness level of the folk dance department students. Material and Methods. The study involved students majoring in "Choreography" (males - n = 5; females - n = 10). Tests were used to determine the level of general and special physical qualities development. It was also determined the level of physical fitness at the beginning of training and after two years of training. Results. At the beginning of the study, students had average and low rates of speed and strength qualities development and low indicators of dorsal spine mobility.
