Saim Sakaoğlu, who was born in Konya in 1939, completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Literature of Istanbul University. Between1967-1988, he held academic positions at Atatürk University from assistant to associate professor. Between 1988-2006 years, he took part in academic and administrative positions as a professor at Selçuk University. Prof. Dr. Saim Sakaoğlu has 67 books, over 2000 articles, etc. In academic life, he supervised 29 graduate students and 17 doctoral students. Being a member of many national and international institutions and organizations related to his field, Prof. Dr. Saim Sakaoğlu is married and has two children. In this study, Saim Sakaoğlu’s life, writings about him, awards he received and his works are discussed in detail.
