Abstract
En tr The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of university students towards sports. In this context, a total of 666 undergraduate students, 349 female and 317 male, attending Fırat University participated in the study voluntarily. University students who participated in the study consist of students 327 of whom are in the 19-21 age group, 281 of whom are in the 22-25 age group, 34 of whom are in the 26 and over age group and finally 24 of whom are 18 and under. In addition, 349 of the students who participated in the study do sports while 319 do not. In this study, the information about the socio-demographic variables of the participants was collected with the Personal Information Form created by the researcher. In the second part of the study, "Sports Attitude Scale" consisting of 22 items and 3 factors developed by Koçak (2104) was used. In the study, independent two samples t-test was used to compare the two groups, and one-way Anova analysis was used to compare more than two groups. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the sub-dimensions of the scale. As a result of the research, it was concluded that there is no significant difference in terms of gender, age, income level and variables, which are socio-demographic characteristics of university students (p>0.05) . According to the analysis, it is seen that there is a significant difference between the total of the scale and Psychosocial development, physical development and mental development sub-dimensions of the scale and the state of doing sports variable (p0,05).
