Abstract
With the improvement in quality and increased frequency of abdominal cross-sectional imaging, pancreatic cysts are a common incidental finding. A meta-analysis of 48 860 asymptomatic patients undergoing abdominal imaging reported a pooled prevalence of pancreatic cysts of 8%.1 Such high prevalence coupled with the possibility of cysts harboring malignancy often leads to concern for both patients and physicians once pancreatic cysts are identified. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
