Abstract
Tendinopathy describes painful conditions that arise in and around tendons in response to overuse and are complex, multifactorial pathologies. This article, together with {1}, provides a useful guide to this disease, which commonly affects both the upper (shoulder [rotator cuff], elbow, and wrist tendons) and the lower (\s, patellar, peroneal, and gluteal tendons) extremities and is associated with a number of different factors, including increasing age, gender, type of exercise and physical activity, occupation, and certain co-morbidities including metabolic or cardiovascular disease. This Recommendation is of an article referenced in a Faculty Review also written by Dimitris Challoumas, Mairiosa Biddle and Neal L Millar.
