Abstract
Opinion Statement DIPNECH is caused by an idiopathic proliferation of pulmonary neuroendocrine cells which can lead to bronchiolitis and multifocal lung neuroendocrine tumors. Patients often present with chronic cough and dyspnea. Larger NETs may develop malignant potential. Somatostatin analogs can palliate chronic symptoms, particularly cough. Surgical resection can be considered for relatively large (e.g. >1 cm), progressive tumors. Keywords
