Abstract
The dependences of the static capacity (SC) of the AXIONIT MND40T sorbent based on tetraoctyldiglycolamide (TODGA) for Eu(III) on the concentration of HNO3, HCl, H2SO4, and HClO4 were determined. The SC increases with increasing acid concentration. In the concentration range 2–4 mol dm–3 SC of AXIONIT MND40T for europium in nitric, hydrochloric, and perchloric acid solutions is approximately the same, whereas in sulfuric acid solutions it is much lower. The maximum capacity and adsorption constant (Kad) in different media were calculated from the results of processing of the isotherms of europium sorption by AXIONIT MND40T. The mechanism for the extraction of europium from nitric acid solutions by AXIONIT MND40T is proposed based on the IR spectroscopy data. Keywords
